We have the problem with deleting Elements. Some of our deleted Elements (e.g. Labels or Rows in Tables) appears after restart. e.g. I deleted 2 rows in the table. All seems to work fine. But after next start of EA and SA de rows are allways there. I try this 3 times and is every time the same.

What's wrong in my handling?

Is this a knows Issue or maybe a bug?

Thanks for your answer

Greetings Mischa

TabSet element, duplicates its tabs when saving

I am using the TabSet element in a drawing and it seems it recreates and duplicates the tabs when saving and/or exiting somehow. I.e. if I start out with 3-tabs in the TabSet, then when I open drawing up after restarting Screen Architect, the tabset contains 6-tabs. Even though I remove the additional tabs and saves again. The next time I open up (after closing down SA in between) It again contains, now 9-tabs! Help!!....

Im using version 1.0.0.330 of SA and version 7.1.829 of EA

Grateful for any help on this issue.

New version

In our organization we have been using Screen Architect heavily for a while now. Currently, we have hundreds of screens defined and we have seen that Screen Architect is a great addition to our process.

Till March of this year, we have received updates of Screen Architect at regular intervals and every update made real improvements to our daily work. But, in March, the updates stopped. Even though Screen Architect is a great product, there are certainly important features lacking and critical problems that have not been resolved. We have for example been looking at migrating our database to MySQL which currently isn't possible because of bug SA-451. Other notable problems are logging onto a password protected model (SA-447), inability to resize controls after a certain period of use (SA-442) and many others.

Clearly, a lot of us are eagerly awaiting the next version of Screen Architect. Can you provide an estimate on when we can all expect a new version of Screen Architect and what kind of release schedule we can expect in the future.

Re: Prototype Output Folder ...

Hi,

We've logged your feature requests for future reference as:

1 - ID # SA-434.
2 - ID # SA-435.
3 - ID # SA-436.
4 - ID # SA-437.

For 1 & 2 - these issues are reasonably easy to implement. We will see if we can add them into the road map for the next couple of releases.

For #3 - Image reuse, I will discuss with the team how this can be implemented - we have a few options - using the images list is an obvious one, but has some impacts on users using baselines, version control or XMI importing/exporting. Alternatively we can use the existing tagged values, but the risk then is that the element which contains the image tagged value may be deleted, causing all screens which reference the image stored in the elements tagged value to loose their associated content. Another approach would be to just implement screen / component reuse, and rely on that mechanism to share a common image among screens - at current I think this is the direction we may head.

For #4 - This is covered by our reuse support that will be available in a future release - we also have plans to implement a form of "style sheet" support - so that a common format to elements can be maintained across a site and easily changed.

Thanks for your feedback / suggestions - much appreciated.
