Till March of this year, we have received updates of Screen Architect at regular intervals and every update made real improvements to our daily work. But, in March, the updates stopped. Even though Screen Architect is a great product, there are certainly important features lacking and critical problems that have not been resolved. We have for example been looking at migrating our database to MySQL which currently isn't possible because of bug SA-451. Other notable problems are logging onto a password protected model (SA-447), inability to resize controls after a certain period of use (SA-442) and many others.

Clearly, a lot of us are eagerly awaiting the next version of Screen Architect. Firstly, the Save All function (Ctrl+Shift+F) should not save screens that have not changed. I do like the progress indicator so I use this more often than the simple Save function, but it saves all screens I have opened even though they haven't changed.

Second, I am missing shortcut keys to switch between the main window and the property window. When I start typing to change a label, the focus does not change to the property window. I would like a shortcut key that switches to the property window and a shortcut key that switches back to the main window.

just a couple of suggestions for me.

I think I saw that you will have style templates at some point, but until then would it be possible to at least change the colour of the background for the screen? At the moment I have to do a very plain coloured image and then put the controls over the top.

Suggestions 2 - is it possible to get a control for a tree view, that when generated allows you to expand the views and contract them again

Is it possible to synchronise updates in EA with SA?
Changes in EA are not updated automatically in SA. First on the list is an invisible (ie transparent) link button. The reason I would want this is that, when you are dealing with prototyping from designs provided by graphic designers, it is essential that the design integrity of the screen is maintained in order to maintain relevance to the stakeholders. To this end, the ability to merely paste in an image and then add transparent objects which provide links to other screens and which can be defined with constraints, attributes and descriptions etc. is of paramount importance.

Secondly, it would be nice to be able to lock an element to a layer (top or bottom) so that adding a new element (especially by pasting it) doesn't make it disappear behind what was on the bottom but which now has slipped above the pasted element.

Thirdly, persisting the link between elements (screens) would be handy within EA itself so they can be viewed/edited from within the program itself.

Would it be possible to change the fonts in buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdows, text fields, tab controls and every single control that has text in it?
I saw on the future plans that you want to add CSS support that would solve it all. Any dates for that?

Would it be possbile for future releases of the product to 'remember' the last folder that I have chosen to output the files to, rather than having to browse from 'My Documents/Temp' every time?
